Equal Justice Center Intake/Referral Survey

Purpose

Thank you for completing the Equal Justice Center/Philadelphia Bar Foundation intake/referral survey. The purpose of this survey is to understand how Philadelphia legal aid organizations are currently collaborating and using data and technology during intake and referral. Responses will help inform recommendations and next steps for the Equal Justice Center initiatives.

We recommend that the person in your organization most familiar with intake/referral be the one to complete the survey.

Note: If your agency (or clinical program) covers more than one practice area, and intake/referrals are by practice area, please have someone from each practice area complete the survey.

This survey focuses on data processes related to intake and referral within the Philadelphia civil legal aid ecosystem. We understand that organizations define intake/referral differently and adopt their own unique processes. For the purposes of this survey, we are using a broad definition of intake/referral to include direct intake/referral processes as well as legal aid helplines and hotlines.

For example, we want to capture applicable information from you on:

  • Receiving phone calls/emails/online forms requesting legal aid assistance/information from your organization directly from potential clients
  • Receiving referrals for potential clients from partner organizations
  • Operating a legal assistance information helpline or hotline for community members to request legal assistance

Participation in the survey is voluntary. Responses will remain confidential and your name will not be published with the data. We ask for your name and email address on the survey so that we can follow-up if we have any additional questions.

If you have any questions about the survey, please email Elizabeth Grim, Evaluation Consultant, at elizabeth@elizabethgrim.com.
